BMW M3 in Death Valley

Whilst staying at Furnace Creek Ranch, I noticed these unbadged BMWs (there were about five in the car park).

The photograph was taken on 4 July 2007 in Death Valley, and although a concept car of the BMW M3 had been promoted in March 2007, the production version didn't have its world premiere until the Frankfurt Auto Show in September 2007. The technicians were clearly putting the car through its paces as the temperature in the evening was over 40°C.
