Balos Lagoon, Crete

If you’ve got a digital camera, it’s a good idea to keep it away from heat, sand and water. Balos Lagoon in Crete has all three.

The lagoon was so shallow I could stand in the middle of it to take this photograph. I don’t have a waterproof cover for my camera, so as I lowered the camera towards the water I had to be careful not to get it wet.
