Damselfly mating wheel
24/05/2011
In the foreground is a male common blue damselfly, in the background is the female and they're joined in a "mating wheel". I took the photograph using the macro setting of my Tamron 70-300mm lens and used a tripod. I did take a few without a tripod, but the slight camera shake meant that the results weren't as sharp as this.
The photograph was taken Bateman's which is owned by the National Trust where I'm a volunteer photographer.
