Railings

10/01/2010

When I used film, I kept all of my photographs, even the rubbish ones. And with digital, I still keep all my photographs, because even if I didn’t get what I intended, there might still be an interesting image to be found.

This photograph at the top of Crescent Road car park in Tunbridge Wells is such an example. The photograph I took was with the railings in the foreground receding into the distance off to the left. But the better photograph that I discovered when I viewed the image on my computer is this one. It’s a tighter crop which highlights the repetition of the railings in the background.
